George Morales

George Morales, 90, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 20th, 2023 at Truman Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Cesar Chavez Avenue with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 10AM-11AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine.

George was born August 27, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri to Geronimo and Zenaida (Lopez) Morales. He was employed as a Draftsmen for Kansas City Structural Steele and The Bratton Corporation. He was a member of the Our Lady Guadalupe Shrine Association, The Guadalupana Society and the Tamaleras.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Morales, son, Edward Morales, daughter in law, Karen Morales and son, George Morales Jr; his siblings Ernestine Morales, Lucy Garcia, Connie Hornaday, Mary Jaime, Sam Quinonez, Frank Quinonez, Sadie Espinoza, Annie Morales, Leo Morales, Joe Morales, and Marciano Morales.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Madrueno and her husband, John; son Vincent Ivy; brother Jerry Morales (Virginia); 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

You could often find George on his front porch on nice day watching the cars go by and enjoying the weather. He always had a smile on face and joke on his lips. He will be deeply missed.
