Gary Michael Yoder, 67, passed away October 20, 2024 at Village Shalom in the care of Kansas City Hospice. He had bravely suffered from pancreatic cancer for several years. He was the son of James T. and Camille Clark Yoder.
Gary grew up in Leawood, Kansas and attended Rockhurst High School and subsequently graduated from the University of Kansas. He spent much time at the Lake of the Ozarks where he enjoyed many friends. His love of the Ozarks came from his paternal grandfather, James G. Yoder, where he learned to fish and enjoy all water sports. He spent his winters in Punta Gorda, FL, where he was a member of the Isles Yacht Club.
Gary was the president of Air Plastics of Overland Park which was an injection molding business where he made friends of his fellow employees and many customers.
Gary is survived by his mother Camille, sister Karen Siemers and brother James J. Yoder. He also leaves many cousins, six nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, James T. Yoder, brother-in-law George Siemers and his beloved dogs, Hans and Bogey.
Funeral services will be at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th St., Leawood, KS 66209. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, at 10:00 am with a funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
