Born August 7, 1941 to Sydney and Loreen Walters in St. Louis, Missouri. Gary raised a family, worked as an over the road driver, diesel mechanic and in time opened his own business. When Gary wasn’t working in his own shop you’d find him helping others with their mechanical needs.
Gary spent time on the race track with fast cars and later in life enjoyed the lake and fast boats. Gary knew The Lake of the Ozarks would be home and made that dream a reality moving to the lake fulltime so he could enjoy lake life; fishing, boating, and sitting on the dock chatting with friends and family.
Gary leaves behind his dear wife, Debbie, son, Gary and wife, Casey, daughter Stacy, son Jon and wife, Jennifer, and son, James and wife, Julie. Grandchildren; Nataleigh, Ashlynn, Emory, Sawyer, Jackson, Gregory, and Cecilia, arriving in June. Gary joins his dearest friend Chuck Hunter, in peaceful slumber.
Gary's final wish was for a simple “shake n bake” (cremation) and “no fuss” (funeral).
His family honors his request and will celebrate his life this summer at The Ozarks.
