Evelyn F. Swaggerty

Evelyn graduated from Park Hill High School. She married Eldon Swaggerty on September 21, 1940, who preceded her in death on August 15, 2010. Evelyn was employed by North American Aviation during World War II, building B-25 Bombers, thirteen bombers went off the line every 12 hour shift. All while her husband was serving overseas. Evelyn attended a school at Western Union to become a telegraph operator and worked for them for several years. Later, she worked for Harris Upham Brokerage Firm as a wire operator, retiring in 1969; all the while managing the books for her husband’s thriving home building business. Evelyn was a consummate homemaker and gardener as well.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Neysa Gail Gollier and husband, Fred; grandson, William Wade Gollier; and two great grandsons, Grant (age 17) and Brenner (age 14). She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Jones Calloway; and brothers, Warren Jones and Edgar Jones.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 6th at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
