Emma was born in July of 1924 in Sedalia, Missouri to Lawrence & Eva Martin, where she went to school and worked until she married the love of her life, Joseph James Robb.
Emma is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Leta & Donald Henning of Independence, MO, and Patti & Rev. Gary Bass of Spokane, WA, and one brother, Lawrence Martin Jr. of San Antonio, TX. Emma is also survived by her grandchildren Marc Bass of Blue Springs, MO, Andrea Bass of Spokane, WA, Jason & Rebecca Henning of Independence, MO, Jessica & Jason Sutherland of Blue Springs, MO, as well as her great-grandchildren, Taylor & Regan Henning, and Taryn, Brendon, and Joshua Sutherland. She was so proud of each of them and loved them each so much. All of her family and many friends will truly miss her but are thankful to have such sweet and loving memories of her.
Emma’s greatest joys in life were going to church, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and spending time with her family and her church family. She attended church at Coventry Estates Baptist Church for many years where she served in the pre-school and children’s Sunday School classes that she loved so much.
Emma will have her celebration of life memorial service on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133. The visitation will be held from 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm. She will be buried in Floral Hills Cemetery next to her husband, Joseph Robb.
