Emma was born in Hardin, Missouri on September 28, 1932 to Ralph and Henrietta Seward.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband Dale and her parents. She is survived by her brother Ralph Seward; son Paul Filby (Megan); grandchildren Avis Paul (Tommy), Kris, Paige, Patty, and Paul-Paul; and great-grandchildren Emerson and McIntire Paul.
Emma worked as a bookkeeper for many years in the shipping and trucking industry and later for the medical industry at Johnson and Johnson and Medtronics. In her later years Emma enjoyed writing letters, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family.
Emma was a compassionate caregiver and devoted wife to her husband Dale, and a loving mother and grandmother. Emma will be remembered for her sweet smile and sage advice she provided her grandchildren.
A service and celebration of life will be held at Forest Hill Calvary Cemetery, 6901 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131 on May 21st at 11:00am.
