Ella Mae “Nonnie” was born on October 31, 1922 in Kansas City, MO to Frank and Bessie Recke. She graduated from South East High School in 1940. After graduation and during WWII she worked at Lake City Ammunition plant and later in the mail room at JC Nichols on the Country Club Plaza.
On July 15, 1950 she married Elmer E. Lampson of Kansas City. They were married 42 years prior to Elmers passing and they had 2 children. She was passionate about caring for those she loved with a selfless heart and a calming spirit.
She had a strong christian faith and attended church for many years until she was no longer able, at which time she then enjoyed her Sunday morning sermons from home. She loved attending senior dances, bingo and the occasional visit to the local casinos. However, she enjoyed nothing more than spending precious time with family and friends.
Ella Mae “Nonnie” was proceeded in death by her parents, Frank Charles and Bessie May (Kennedy) Recke, her 4 siblings, Frank, Larnell, Virginia and Charles, her husband Elmer E. Lampson and her grandson Randy L. Coen who held a very special place in her heart.
