Edward Gerald "Jerry" Farrell

Edward Gerald Farrell, 82, Overland Park, Kansas passed Saturday evening, November 13, 2021 at his residence. Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, Missouri and will be officiated by Pastor Jim Heaton.

Jerry was born November 28, 1938 in Ottawa, LaSalle County, Illinois. He has resided in Overland Park, Kansas for over forty years. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1956 and he received a Bachelor of Science from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois in January 1961. He was married to Peggy Mellon Farrell on July 25, 1980, in Shawnee, Kansas. Jerry was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He owned and operated E. Gerald Farrell & Co., certified public accounting firm, located in Overland Park, Kansas and enjoyed serving his clients with honesty and integrity. He enthusiastically participated in family activities, was an avid sports fan, and loved animals.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Farrell, Overland Park, KS; four sons, Jeff & Toni Farrell, Overland Park, KS, John & Michelle Farrell, Olathe, KS, Jason & Lucy Michaelis, Overland Park, KS, Matthew & Lauren Michaelis, Leawood, KS; five granddaughters, Stefani Morris, Samantha Farrell, Ashley Doty, all of Overland Park, KS, and Morgan & Adelynn Michaelis, Leawood, KS, one grandson, Carter Michaelis, Overland Park and one great-grandson, Logan Morris, Overland Park, KS, sisters Shirley Barnett & Nancy Mirkes, Bonita Springs, Florida. He was predeceased by mother, Esther Lillian Farrell, father, Edward William Farrell, brother, Arthur J. Kennedy, sister, Marjorie E. Thompson, and daughter, Christine Farrell.

He will be deeply missed and his memory will live on in his loved ones hearts. In lieu of flowers (optional), memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
