Donald Lewis Crabtree

After graduating high school, Don served in the Army and was discharged as an E7 Sergeant 1st Class. He was an entrepreneur as a young adult and eventually opened his primary business, Builder’s Hardware and Appliance, where he sold to builders and remodelers. He attended Blue Ridge Bible Church, which became Word of Grace Fellowship, for 50 years, serving as an elder, Sunday School Teacher and usher. Don’s passion was for The Gideons International, who he served for decades.

Don is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; son, Matthew and brother, Bill.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Wanda; three sons: Mark (Cindi), Paul (Nancy) and Philip; his sister, Elinor; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, service 2 PM, on Friday, October 14, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
