Diane is survived by her children Lisa and Collin Bunch and Paul Michael and Samantha Stahl; her grandchildren Ellcie, Ender, Marlow, and Benjamin; her stepdaughters Cassandra Goodpasture and Amanda Stahl; her step-grandchildren Noah and Aspen; her sisters Donna Kellogg, Sharon Lucas, and Karen Duncan; and a large extended family.
Diane was born in Kansas City on July 19, 1952 to Dillard and Harriet Beeson. She attended Westport High School and graduated with the class of 1970. She met her late husband Paul Stahl in high school and after several years apart, they reconnected and were married in June 1985. They traveled with the military for the first decade of their marriage, most memorably to Washington D.C. and Okinawa, Japan. They eventually settled down to raise their family in Raymore, MO where they remained until their respective passing.
She shared a close bond with her three sisters and always enjoyed their annual Hallmark sisters’ outing. As her children created families of their own, her grandkids became a great source of joy. She loved to spoil them with candy, junk food, and thoughtful gifts. She built lifelong friendships with her coworkers at Southwestern Bell and Zurich. She loved to travel and was at peace anywhere there was a beach. Her iconic giggle will be missed but always remembered, as well as her direct advice and her ornery sense of humor.
A celebration of Diane’s life will take place at Manny’s Mexican Cantina on Southwest Boulevard – a favorite spot of hers since the 1970s.
