Chester M. Fox, former resident of Knob Noster, Missouri, departed this life on March 20, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lakes Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana having reached the age of 90 years, 2 months and 9 days. He was born in Bragg City, Missouri on January 11, 1921 to Barney Walter and Gertrude (Goodman) Fox. On April 27, 1941 in Old Monroe, Missouri Chester married the love of his life, Lovena Jones, who preceded him in death in 2007. Chester joined the Army-Air Force in 1946 and was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1949. After leaving the service, Chester worked many different jobs retiring from the Ralston-Purina Farms in Grey Summit, Missouri. Chester was an avid baseball fan watching as many St. Louis Cardinals games as he could. He also loved to fish and hunt. Chester retired to Knob Noster in 1980 where he lived until moving to Baton Rouge in 2009. Chester is survived by three sons, Larry Fox and wife Meredith of Knob Noster, Missouri, Don Fox and wife Judy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Doyle Fox of Washington, Missouri; four daughters, Carolyn Roberson and husband Leo of Bland, Missouri, Louan Graub of Knob Noster, Trudy Houston and husband Greg of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Robin Fox of Branson, Missouri; one son-in-law, Lloyd Burden of Knob Noster; sister, Pansy Baker of St. Louis, Missouri; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and five brothers; infant son, Kenneth Fox; daughter, Linda Burden; and two grandsons, Chester Matthew Fox and Robert Wesley Fox. Visitation will be at Mount Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri on Monday, March 28 at 12:00 p.m. with services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
