Cathie was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Rose (Morrell) Morreale, her beloved husband Bill, son-in-law Charles (Jeff) Jefferson, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. She is survived by her daughters Patti Jefferson and Carol Semaan, son Ronnie Williams, step-son Keith Schroder (Nancy), step-daughter Penny Jolly; grandchildren Haley Jeffrey, Stefaan Jefferson, Benjamin Williams, Justin Schroder, Ashley Anselmo, and Nicole Jolly and 11 great-grandchildren. Condolences may be shared at FloralHillsFuneralHome.com Remembrances may be made in the form of contributions to the Arthritis Foundation at Arthritis.org or Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Raytown, MO.
Cathie retired from Raytown City Hall as the Administrative Assistant to Engineering in 1993 after 21 years. She was a devout catholic and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Raytown, Missouri. She was very active with the Raytown Chamber of Commerce with many local activities that included Raytown Round-Up Days, Raytown Parades, and the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting. She was sometimes referred to as “Chatty Cathie”, she had a gift to gab! Anyone that knew her, knew her LOVE for the Kansas City Chiefs! She was a season ticket holder for nearly 50 years, with tickets on the 50-yard line, Row 19. She and Bill tailgated nearly every home game regardless of the weather until she just couldn’t make that long walk again in her later years. She sat on several of their boards and was a Red Coater for ~30 years and attended every activity under the sun that had to do with the KC Chiefs. She and Bill drove to Minnesota on numerous occasions to attend the KC Chiefs training camps. She had one room in her home dedicated to all her KC Chiefs memorabilia dating back to the early ’60s, and she absolutely loved Lenny Dawson. She had “Chiefs” license plates for over 25 years, and when she quit driving 3 years ago, she transferred them to granddaughter Ashley, so they’re still in the family. KCTV5 interviewed her and Ashley at Town Village in Feb. 2020 about having been a Red Coater and fan for so many years and having transferred her plates to Ashley. Her little red walker also had her old “Chiefs” plates on it. She was ever so proud! She and Bill also loved their road trips to the Colorado mountains.
Her later years became more difficult with her arthritis and after losing Bill. He was her soul mate. She still enjoyed being picked up by friends and family for short outings and holidays and a few activities at Town Village, her retirement center. She continued to overcome many health obstacles, but it took a toll on her and she is finally out of pain and transitioned peacefully to be with her beloved Bill, mother, and father.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. The K.C. Chiefs have lost one of their BIGGEST fans ever. She will have one of the highest seats by which to cheer them on!
