Cary was an awesome Man that gave me a chance to work in the line of work I am in now. When MO.D.M.H. wanted this company to get rid of me due to the fact that I'm a felon he gave me another chance allowing me to plea my case to the state. Through his kindness I was able to prove that I'm an asset to this company, and my troubled past is just the past. During hard times he lended me a helpi g hand so that my Family and I could get by. There were also a couple of times I wouldn't have been able to make it to Sundance without his help. I've never had an employer be so understanding, helpful, and level with me before. Dear William's family,
I'm truly sorry for your loss! My deepest  thoughts and prayers goes out to your family. 
I was hired in 1991 as a Speech therapist for the Nova Center school.  At that time, Nova center offered financial assistance for people that wanted to further the education.  
Dr. Williams not only offered financial assistance,  but offered advice and support when I needed it. He proofed read all my papers,  and offered advice on which classes to take. Because of Dr. Williams,  I graduated with my Masters on May 11th 1996.  When I look at my degree I'll think of you Dr. Williams with such fondness!

I pray that you all receive God’s peace and comfort during this time.  Cary was a great mentor and friend to me during my time working for him at Nova.  His supervisory style combined with his humor and warm-heartedness helped to formulate my own career objectives, and lessons learned from him have served me well countless times over the years.  Cary loved supporting persons with developmental disabilities, and their lives were truly made better as a result of Cary’s leadership at Nova.  


I met Cary in 1990 when I was hired as a Special Education teacher and taught there 15 years.  He was very supportive and gave great advice in dealing with autistic students. My son lives in a group home run by Nova and attends the day program. I appreciate the wonderful programs he has helped develop for people like my son. Jason has a nice place to live and can attend a day program that is set up  with different centers to engage him in many activities.  I express my deepest sympathy to Gail and the family.

Gail, Mark and Collin, please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of Cary.
He was my mentor and my dear friend for almost 50 years and I will never forget him, what he taught me, and the wonderful memories I have of him .

I always remember Cary sitting at his desk wearing a head set, dictating an email or document. I remember him as a man who was always certain about what was right and always dependable as a friend. He is a missed man. May Jesus minister to all who were touched by his life. 

Cary was my friend and classmates through 12 years of school in Cabool.   We attended the same church and were in many activities together.   He was always so funny, and the life of any party.   He was a star football player and I was one of the cheerleaders who cheered the Bulldog team on each week and spoiled them with food and treats each week in anticipation of the games.  He was a valued member of the Cabool High School Class of 1966 and will be missed by all of us.   Gayle and sons, I am so sorry for your profound loss. This Mrs. Neff's 5th grade class.   Cary is third from the left on the back row, peeking over the others boys.   We did a play that year about a cruise ship on the Carribean.   We wrote it ourselves and then performed it for our parents when it was done.   Costumes, music and dancing....it was a fun year.

My condolences go out to Cary’s family. He was a tremendous mentor for me and my journey into the social services field. He always attempted to make a difference and left an everlasting impact with those whom he worked with. He was never afraid to talk up KU basketball or the Chiefs after their games which often would take precedent in our “work” conversations. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. 

Cary and my families went back a long way in Cabool, and overlapped in different areas.  He was a year older than I, but we were still involved in many of the same school and church activities.  He was a standout for his unique personality.   Sometimes his mother helped out in Daddy's office and was invaluable there.  I must admit that Cary and I loved to argue over what we thought were great scientific debates, (as little kids).  I remember when a bunch of us were hiking around on a Saturday, Cary and I stood in an almost dry creek bed and argued about my transistor radio--a big fad--and its properties for a long time--one of many stalemates. Gail my thoughts are with you, your children and all the NOVA family.  What a great man, who always had a smile on his face and a moment of his time for everyone.  He will be greatly missed by all.  

Cary was a great teacher, he introduced me to concepts and strategies of teaching that reached far beyond the classroom and into everyday life. My time working with Cary was well spent.
