"Carl" Payton Snell~ "My Dad"

From the time he was a very young boy, my Dad, loved the Lord with all his heart, mind and soul.

Though many adversities throughout his life, he kept his eyes focused on the Lord, never losing faith.

No matter how bad things would get, he would always tell me to "let go and let God".

My Dad taught me compassion, patience and most of all....Hope.

I admired his ability to always remain calm, never raising his voice....teaching me, "slow to anger".

Though not a rich man here on earth, he would always say..."our treasures are in Heaven".

I will miss all the tea parties we had when I was a little girl...

But Daddy, I will now look forward to the many tea parties we will have...when we meet, one day again...in Heaven.

I considered Carl, my friend for approx. 30 yrs, to be my kindred spirit.  Some of our most joyous moments were when he would play his guitar and sing gospel songs.  My heartfelt prayers are with Melinda, Mitch and Mark.  He is now at peace in the arms of his Savior, Jesus.

Carl took me to the church where Jesus found me. I am so glad he brought me to where I met the source of my life. For this I am forever grateful. May he find rest in the arms of Jesus forever.  Katherine Howe

I was deeply saddened to hear of Carl's passing.  
Although it's difficult today to see beyond your sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

I'm sorry to read of your dad's passing.  I met him once many years ago and remember him as a fine gentleman.

Carl's spirit is with the God and Lord Jesus who he loved and is now in eternal peace.

We are so sorry for the loss of your Dad.  It was much too soon and too fast.  Praying for peace and comfort for you all~

To my Dad,  I know that many times in my young life you had your hands full wondering how you would survive your middle son.  Because of you,  I have become a man that I know you were  proud of.  You have given me the greatest gift of all, my 3 children.  You will be missed.  My sadness of our loss is very deep.  In the end I realized one thing,  I always loved you as my father.  You gave me the tools to become a self made man.

to carl's family - i have only spoken to your father 2 times, and i told him what my father told me, carl always seemed to love Gus's philosophy of life.
