Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Funeral services will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. with the burial immediately following in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Bonna Jean Roseberry was born in St. Joseph, Missouri to the parents of Robert L. Roseberry and Muriel D. Roseberry (Dixon) on Friday, March 27, 1942. She went to Washington Elementary School and Plattsburg High School both in Plattsburg, Missouri. She married Walter F. Harris of Plattsburg, Missouri in 1960 and then divorced in 1966.
She worked as a seamstress in Plattsburgh, Missouri and then opened her own master tailor and dry-cleaning establishment in Kansas City, Missouri in 1973. In 1977, she joined the Bendix Corporation where she worked many years as a mechanical/electrical inspector for the engineering company. She retired from the company after more than 20 years of service in 1999.
Bonna Jean Roseberry was preceded in death by her father, mother, and older brother Robert L. Rosebery Jr.
Bonna Jean Roseberry is survived by her daughters LaDonna Sampson (Sheldon Sampson of Orlando, FL) and LaTonya Stark (Shelton Stark of Orlando, FL); her sister Donna Roseberry (Kansas City, MO) and her brother William Roseberry (Kansas City, MO); her grandson Larry Johnson (Erin Johnson of Centerville, VA); and her great granddaughter Michaela Johnson (Centerville, VA).
