Betty is survived by her husband, John Wayne Wodson of Overland Park, KS; daughter, Wendy R. Woodson (David) of Shawnee, KS; granddaughter, Jessica Somer of Norman, OK; grandson, Chase Woodson of Los Angeles, CA; two great grandchildren, Braeden and Landon who will miss her dearly.
Betty's father, Henry Ruf and uncles decided that to keep the younger generation from getting in trouble, they could learn to play a musical instrument, so they formed a country western band which became known as the Westport Kids. Betty played electric guitar and sang in the band all over the country and on many TV and radio shows in the 1950's. Betty enjoyed a long career in insurance and after retirement, enjoyed working in her garden and making special German foods she learned from her mother.
