Barbara Lorine Helm Beamer

Barbara (Renie) Beamer, 89, passed away September 11, 2014 in Mena, AR. Renie was born in Kansas City, MO on April 13, 1925 to the late Orville and Laura Wescott. She was married to Donald G. Helm who passed away in 1967. She married Jack G. Beamer in 1979 and was again widowed in 2004.

Renie was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Leona (Manchee) Frieburg. Survivors include her daughter Julie Ulmer and husband Jeff of Mena, AR; her son Tom Helm and wife Shelby of Leavenworth, KS; Granddaughter Casey Helm of Ft. Myers, FL; Grandsons Don Helm of Kansas City; Luke Helm and wife Amy of Olathe, KS; Travis Ulmer and wife Emily of St. Louis, MO; John Helm of Leavenworth, KS; three nephews, and eight beloved great grandchildren. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Kelly Helm of Kansas City; three step daughters, Sue Beamer, Kay Beamer, and Sandi Beamer along with their families of Kansas City.

Visitation will be at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., on Thursday, September 18 from 6 to 8 PM. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 19 at 11:00 AM also at Mt. Moriah & Freeman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Grace Bible Church in Mena, or Rich Mountain Community College Foundation, Mena, AR.
