Alice "Liz" Soetaert

Alice (Liz) Elizabeth Soetaert, 100, of Raymore, MO passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family. Friends may call from 9-10:30 am, Tuesday, January 29th, at St Sabina Parish, 700 Trevis, Belton, MO (located east of Holmes Rd on Hwy 58). Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am and burial in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Coronation of Our Lady Parish or to Kansas City Hospice House.

Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph “Dick”, her parents, Joseph and Alida (Lust) Van Keirsbilck, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, and sons-in-law Dolor Rehm and Jesse Martin. She is survived by 3 children, Don Soetaert (Liz) of El Dorado, CA, Jean Rehm-Coomer (Bob) of Raymore, MO & Betty Martin of Oklahoma City, OK, 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-law and 51 nieces and nephews.

She was a great Mom, an excellent cook, an expert seamstress and a “green-thumb” gardener.
