Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM, with a visitation starting at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119. Inurnment will follow services in Resurrection Cemetery, 5001 NE Cookingham Drive, Kansas City, MO 64156.
Alex was born in Kansas City, MO to Karen (Hartman) and John Lopez on July 18, 1984. He worked as a construction worker for multiple companies such as OCCI, and ICI biofuels throughout his 15 year career.
Alex was a horror movie connoisseur, zombie enthusiast, fisherman, gun collector, and Baha driver. He also loved working on old trucks and had a real talent for fixing them. He will be remembered as a man of few words, but the words he did share, were almost always funny.
Alex is survived by his parents; his brothers, Aaron Lopez and Adam (Leslie) Lopez; sisters, Angie (Montie) Freeman, Amy (Geoffrey) Gardner, and Riley Lopez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Albertson, Michael Dana, Bryan Lopez and Josh Slominski.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Alex’s memory may be given to the Orphan Justice Center (https://www.ojc.us/).
