Virgie Rosetta Moore Case was born July 24, 1928 to Edgar and Edith Moore in Bells, Texas near Denison. She was raised with many cousins and was the third child of 6. In high school they moved to Borger, Texas in the panhandle. Virgie attended the Nazarene church and went to Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Ok for one year. The next year, at church, she met and married Paul Case, an engineer from Chicago who was working at the Phillips Refinery on July 31,1949. They had Brenda in 1950, moved to Wichita, Ks and had Paulette in 1951. Serving God was center of their family life. Both son-in-laws studied pastoral ministry. Paul died in 1989 right after their 40th anniversary. Virgie lived in Wichita with no family until 2014 when she moved to Kansas City to be near some of her great-grand children. Virgie loved spending time with the kids .
With Paul’s work, the family was able to travel a lot and even lived in Paris, France - Croatia, Yugoslavia and London, England. Virgie liked to sew, knit and crochet and was partial to Pekingese dogs. Virgie went on many cruises with friends, a mission trip in her 70’s and visited many countries.
Virgie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 sisters Mary-Margaret, Betty, Ann and a great-grandson Corbin. She is survived by 2 brothers JF and Gary, her daughters, 4 grandchildren Charles, Matt, Crystal and Elizabeth and 10 great-grand children who called her GG.
An informal celebration of life will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, June 3rd at Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene at 6200 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Ks. The celebration of life will be on the church website live www.victoryhills.com . The church FaceBook is Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene/Fuente de Vida Ministerio Hispano.
