Shirley Ann Hoyt, age 89, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Born in Marshalltown, Iowa, Shirley Ann lived in New Providence, Iowa before moving to San Diego, California. She attended dental assistant school and worked as a dental assistant in San Diego. While living in California, she had two children: Robbyn Ann Prather and Floyd Douglas Prather.
Shirley later moved to Kansas City, Kansas where she worked two jobs as a nurse. She was a deeply religious woman who loved her family dearly. She is survived by her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas on 12/13/24. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 AM.
