Rinaldo “Ronnie” Davis was born August 3, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri. Ronnie was the first of eight children born to Roy and Ernestine Davis.
Ronnie was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri school district. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1971 and married Beki Cobb in 1983.
Ronnie’s favorite past times included fishing, playing softball and spending quality time with his family. He loved watching movies with his family and he was an avid Chiefs fan. Ronnie had the ability to befriend anyone. He never met a stranger. Everywhere he went he made friends. He took great pride in teaching people and helping others. He was a fierce protector, a teacher, a leader and a friend.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Davis, his father, Roy Davis, his sister NyRita Davis, his brother Andre Davis and his nephew Roderick Davis, Jr.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Beki Davis, his daughter, Kindra Smith, his grandson Marcus Smith Jr, his granddaughter Jordyn Smith, his brothers Roy Davis (Angie), Deguiel Davis (Michelle), Roderick Davis Sr, his sister NyKita Williams (James), Najuana Davis (Terry) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Ronnie will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
