Mickey was born October 24, 1972, in Kansas City, Kansas to Sharon and Larry Blevins. He graduated from Washington High School in 1991. Mickey was a standout athlete for Washington High School where he was bound preparing to play college football, but chose to begin working in the construction field with the birth of his first son at age 19. Mickey attended Kansas City Kansas Community College at various points in his life to where he eventually received his EMT license. After a brief stint working as an EMT, Mickey then founded A Do It All Drywall Service, a full-service drywall company, to where he found success for numerous years. As one of the hardest working men most ever had the chance to meet, Mickey was known widely for his craft and highly regarded in the area for his drywall and construction expertise. Though work and providing for his family consumed much of his life, Mickey found enjoyment spending his free time watching his kids play sports, taking them to ride four wheelers and dirt bikes, and lounging on the couch before falling asleep watching Vikings to leave his kids annoyed by the sound of his loud snoring.
Mickey is survived by his five children Tyler, McKenzie, Russell, Brady, and Kaylin Blevins; his two grandchildren Brynlee and Easton Blevins; the mother of his children and wife of 27 years Lisa Blevins; his mother and father Sharon and Larry Blevins; and his sisters Tina Collins, Shanna Novak, and Dawn Stroud.
