Katherine Randle, 83, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Kansas University Medical Center. Services will be held on Monday, September 16 at 11 a.m., at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1220 Walker Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m., at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Born April 30, 1930 in Moro, Arkansas to Reverend Emanuel (E.M.) and Mrs. Matilda Hull Little, Katherine Little was the third child in a family of fifteen children. At an early age, Katherine dedicated her life to Christ under the guidance of her parents.
Before relocating to Kansas City, Kansas in 1953, Katherine married Herman Randle Sr., on July 28, 1946 and to this union ten children were born. Katherine was a dedicated homemaker, endearing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Even though she was soft spoken and a lady of few words, she was able to touch the lives of everyone she met.
Katherine was a long-standing member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she continued her strong growth and belief in God while teaching her children to do the same.
Preceding her in death were her devoted husband, Herman Randle Sr., father and mother, Reverend E.M. and Mrs. Matilda Little, daughters, Cynthia Jane and Bethenia, two sisters, Susie Bell Smith, Manuel Ree Randle and one brother, Waconia Little.
Those who are left to celebrate her homecoming are her doting children, Kathy Bass, Carolyn Jones, Darlene Reliford,
Herman Randle Jr., Ricky Randle, Chryste McDaniel (Anthony), Kimberly Randle (James A. Williams III), Kendra Sanchez, twelve delightful grandchildren, and eight spectacular great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are her beloved brothers Franklin, Fredrick, Willie, Leon, Valentine and sisters Annie Mae, Mable, Willie Mae, Clare, Delois Ann, Chinchilla and a host of other family and friends.
