Jesse W. Aldridge, 93, passed away April 21, 2016. A visitation will be held Monday, April 25th from 9-10AM with funeral at 10AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCKS 66112. Interment with Honors will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to KC Hospice & Palliative Care, 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy, Ste. 200, KCMO 64114.
Jesse was born January 12, 1923 in Muncie, KS to Dorsey & Clara (Green) Aldridge. Throughout his life, he lived in Muncie, KS, Bonner Springs, KS, Osceola, MO and KCK. Jesse served in the United States Navy during WWII and had an excellent work ethic. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as an iron worker and farmer. He was the oldest member in the Iron Workers Local #10, and had achieved his 70 years pin. Jesse loved baseball, building things, raising rabbits, hunting, fishing and most of all, spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Laura Bernice in 1972 and Catherine in 2012; his parents; five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his son, Joel (Angela) Aldridge; three daughters, Elaine (Duane) Mykeloff, Gaylen (Robert) Fuller and Laura (Darrell) Hutson; step-sons, Patrick (Susie) McClure and David (Bonnie) McClure and step-daughter, Anita (Bill) Autry; grandchildren, Julie Kirks, Rebecca Hendrix, Michael Aldridge, Kevin (Katie) Mykeloff, David Mykeloff, Audrey Mykeloff, Nicholas Springer, Lee and Haylee Hutson, Sarah (Larry) Borders, Daniel (Tiffini) Fuller and Josh, Reanna, and Savannah McClure, and step-grandchildren Elizabeth Dea, Melissa Trammel, Jessica Corbin. ; great-grandchildren, Jesse Saffa-Mykeloff, Zachary Kirks, Samuel Kirks, Amanda Hendrix, Carolanne Hendrix, T.J. Hendrix, Jaxon Hendrix, Madison Aldridge, Michael Aldridge Jr., Madelyn Springer and her mother, Christine, Evan Springer, Eric Zimmer, Greysen Fuller, Shari Jo Borders and Jayme Borders, step-grandchildren, Brian (Kairee) Sherrill, Adam Sherrill, Brandon Sherrill and Katie Sherrill; step-great-grandchildren, Kylee, Haylee, Yeabsira, Gabrielle, Chloe, and Alaina Sherrill, Mark, Robert, Andrew and Connor Saffa and numerous family and friends.
The family would like to express a special gratitude to Billie Ison for the excellent care and love given to Jesse as well as his family during their time of need.
