Jen, I miss you so much! You were such a special part of my life. I am forever grateful for the time I had with you. I only wish that I had known you sooner. In the short amount of time we knew one another, you taught me so much. You showed me what the true definition of strength is. Your faith, strength, and attitude inspired me in my own Cancer journey. This morning I will celebrate the life of my beautiful friend Jen?. My heart aches, and I miss her so much already. I have never met such an amazing person in all my life. Her attitude, strength, courage, and faith has inspired me, and many others. Jen had a smiled that would light up the room, and it was contagious. Also, the love that her and her husband Ellsworth? have for one another is the most perfect definition of "True Love". Ells never left Jen's side, he was truly her other half. I am so blessed to have met Jen. She came into my life at the most perfect time, right when I needed her. I will always remember her as being a true warrior, and friend. I look forward to meeting her in Heaven one day, and I can't wait for that day to come. I will wear another KU shirt today, and I know Jen will be smiling down on all of us as we celebrate her life.

I would like to offer my condolences and sincere prayers to you and your family.  Its amazing how strong a person Ellsworth has been over the last few years and i knew that strength came from his love for Jen who had to have been such a strong and beautiful soul.

Jen and Ellisworth I really didn't know you both that well, but then again I felt like I did. At that time you showed so much love to each other and your families. As i think about going to pay my respects this evening for a wonderful woman who has left us too soon, I think of her life and the way she lived as an inspiration. Despite her cancer diagnosis 6 years ago, she Lived. You know the saying get busy living or get busy dying, well she got busy living. When i got the opportunity to catch up with her, she would tell me all about going on cruises, going to the lake, enjoying life, family and friends despite how she must have felt from the treatments. What an amazing testimony to her! She fought like a warrior. In the end she told me she was ready to go to our eternal home, the waiting was the worst. When God was ready he unlocked the door and took her hand. She is with our Lord now. I have renewed hope and faith! I love you Jen! I will continue to live as I wait upon The Lord.

My amazing friend...the last few months have been a walk down memory lane.  I was blessed to meet you when I moved to Kansas and was the scared new kid in the 4th grade.  You took me in and became my best friend.  As I look at all our pictures I am flooded with memories.  Your comment on  pictures and yearbooks was "and don't ever forget me."  That my friend is not even possible.  Even then you had no idea how much you meant to me and everyone who knew you.  I am one of the lucky ones who got to share so many years with you.  We shared so many laughs and tears.  I treasure our last heart to heart talks.  Even through your pain, you remembered all the good times and could make me smile and laugh.  You were so selfless and were still worrying about everyone around you.  You understood me more than anyone on this earth ever has and accepted me just as I was.  Our last words were "I love you and I will see you" and I don't think there are better words to sum up our friendship.  You will forever be in my heart my bestest friend in this world! 

P.S. I copied your tattoo on my arm so I will remember you everyday for the rest of my life.  I told you I would never forget you.

On Sept 28th John and I were so lucky to have Sparkles great family join ours. Jen was such a fighter and so strong not let this terrible cancer take her but we are only human and our bodies can only go through so much. 
You will always be in our prayers. I have never seen a couple so much in Love. Keep the Faith Ellsworth.  You will always be in our family.

Jen, What a true inspiration you are. Fighting your own battle, but still showed concern, care, and positive words for others fighting the same or different battles. You are such an amazing person, Giving,Caring and Loving. You will be missed but forever cherished by so many. We have a lot of Memories of our trips to Las Vegas with the Bowling group. It's hard to put into words the impact Jen had on those of us who were lucky enough to know her and love her.  A very special lady who we  could call our cousin.  We will miss her deeply, and love her forever.

Our world is suffering from a huge hole left by Jen. I had the privilege of meeting Jen a few short years ago and she instantly touched my life. She reminded me that warmth and compassion for those around us is often more important than our own adversity. Her cheerful style, contagious smile, and unyielding spirit reminded me where life's real priorities lay. Ellsworth, my colleague, my friend, -- your strength, courage and commitment served as an example for all men to aspire to as you did everything in your power, and then some, to ease Jen's suffering and remained the firm tower of strength she needed during low times and husband and friend all the rest of the days. Ninety percent of what I knew about Jen I learned from stories through Ellsworth.  Then after meeting her I realized Ells could have talked for years and I would never realized how inadequate words were to describe her.  Her strength and courage make me realize how much further I have to go as a person.  She'll be missed.

 It has truly been my honor to have met you in our inaugural S.M. Training at C.C.C. and watch the tremendous growth / impact it has had in your own life. Through you it was my honor to meet your wife "Jen." Just a few of the words that are immediately ready to describe her are Beautiful, Inspiring, Encouraging, Courageous, Tough, Gentle, Intelligent, Leader, Determined, as well as many others. One thing is for sure!! You said you believed that Jen had an impact on everyone that came in contact with her, no matter how brief or long, & you were right. I believe it was a Gift from God. 

Please allow yourself to reach out at ANY time you need anything at all. From talking, sharing, errands, work, anything. OK? 

 If ONLY we could bottle & share the relationship & attributes you & Jen experienced, I believe it would solve the worlds problems. Thank you for sharing Jen, Jen's story & journey as well as your own. The two of you have touched & impacted thousands of people.

Jen is greatly missed but the bazillion seeds that have been planted will have an everlasting impact bringing people to Christ, causing Christians to examine their own walk with the Lord, bring strength & Hope towards Eternity. Jen truly was a bright beacon of Light for Jesus in this dark world we live in. She has finished her race and she finished it "WELL."

Jen you are a true inspiration to so many people, more people than I think you realized. Our paths crossed the day you married my crazy cousin Bubby. I still remember the Thanksgiving after your mastectomy, and how you so freely showed me your new tata's and I thought "Wow, I'm not sure if I could have done that." I was always amazed of your strength and courage, and faith through it all. You were always so open and forthcoming in sharing every detail during this struggle.  Never wanting anyone to feel sorry for you.  Last Thanksgiving when I held your hand so tightly during a special prayer for you, I prayed so hard that God would give you a miracle, because you were so deserving of one. It didn't work the way we planned, but God did answer our prayer! You are now walking on streets of gold PAIN FREE! I only hope should I ever go through an illness such as this, that I will have the strength and courage as YOU did.  I know we will meet again, but until then I will try to keep your crazy husband out of trouble LOL!!Love you and I will miss that incredible smile.

Rest in  paradise my sweet angel, I'm so proud of you and they way you not only beat this disease into submission but on the way you lived your life.  You have touched so many people during your journey, everyone who every had the honor of knowing you is so much better off than they were before hand.  You made such a difference in this world, you made this world a better place for everyone who knew you and loved you.  And oh boy, were you loved and you leave behind a legacy second to none.  You loved people unconditionally and were quick to forgive anyone whoever did you wrong.  I thought "love at first sight" was just a saying until I seen you that night, who would have thought that I would have found the love of my life at Rieke's Landing?  But I knew I loved you the first time that I seen you, your dimples and that smile could light up the darkest room.  You changed me so much, taught me how to be a better man and a better person, taught me how to love unconditionally and tried to teach me how to forgive others (I will continue to work on that)  I know I promised during your last days on earth that I would be ok and I will keep that promise but I realize now that its going to take time.  Everyone says time will heal all wounds but I don't know if I have enough time to heal my broken heart.  But I will try and go down swinging trying just like you did.  I always tried my best to be a good husband, to take care of you and protect you.  In some ways I feel like a failed you but I know that you know I did my best .  I will miss your smile, your huge dimples and holding your hand and rubbing your back but I know one day, I will see that smile, I will see those dimples, I will hold your hand and I will hold you in my arms  for eternity.  Jesus's death on the cross and his promise of eternal life tells me that.  Until we meet again, rest in peace and soar with the angels .  PS... "I love your love the most"

Such an amazing soul.. Jen thank you for being such an inspiration to me and so many others. When I first started chemo and lost my hair, you brought me scarves and two beautiful wigs. But you showed me how to not worry about my appearance,  not to be embarrassed, because true beauty comes from within. However you were beautiful inside and out. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you left behind. I only got to see Jen like 4 or 5 times starting at her first battle with the cancer, but every time I seen her, she had a smile on her face and was able to laugh or giggle about some thing. Rest in paradise my sweet angel, you earned your wings and I'm so very proud of you. The first time I seen you, I knew you were the one.  They say it takes time to get past events like this, I don't know how I'm going to do it, I'm not sure there will be enough time.  Last night, I slept in our bed, I made your side, put your KU blanket on your side like always and cried like a baby.  I did my best to always be strong for you, to be your rock, to be your husband and protector.  Right now, I'm far from being a rock, I know I promised you I would be ok and I plan to keep that promise but its just going to take some time for me to be a rock again.  I can still see your smile and those great big dimples, your smile alone could light up a room.  I look forward to the day when I can hold your hand, rub your back and hold you in my arms again, it will be the thing that will keep me pushing, knowing one day I will be with you for eternity

Our families were neighbors in Armourdale and I have so many great memories!! Tons of fun and laughs. Jen you are truly one of a kind and I am honored to be your friend. Love always.

I already miss Jen so much! I met her at the Cancer Center shortly after beginning my treatments for Breast Cancer. Jen had a smile that lit up the room. Although I only knew her for around eight months, Jen and I connected very well. I enjoyed visiting with her, talking about our treatments, and discussing life in general. Jen has been such an inspiration to me, and many others. Her smile, strength, courage, and faith are what inspired me. My heart aches, and I find myself crying throughout the day. I know she wouldn't want me to be sad, but rather continue on with life. I look forward to meeting her in Heaven someday, and what a wonderful day that will be!
