Dennis G. Foster

Dennis G. Foster, 59, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 19th at home surrounded by family. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 21st at Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22nd at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., Kansas City Kansas, with Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 12800 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Dennis was born October 12, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to Gail and Barbara Sue Foster. He graduated from Turner High School and served as a Police Officer for the Kansas City Kansas Police Department and retired 9 years ago. Dennis married the love of his life, Tamara Gilmore on June 27, 1980. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Police. Dennis loved fishing and baseball; he played baseball in his youth, and softball as an adult and never missed watching the Royals.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Walter Gilmore.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Tamara; his son, Jonathan Foster (Kim); his daughter, Tara Huerta (Joseph); his parents, Gail and Barbara Foster; his grandchildren, Zachary and Lorraina Foster and Marissa Huerta; his sister, Teresa Worsham; his grandmother, Mildred Foster; his mother-in-law, Delta “Ann” Gilmore; many other family members and friends.
