Christian Jujuan Holleman was born on January 10, 2000 in Overland Park, KS. His arrival, along with his older sister Daija, was a great joy to his family. Christian lived in Kansas his entire life, graduating from Fairfax Learning Center and going on to KCKCC Culinary School and the Missouri Military Academy Leadership Training Camp.
Christian loved studying his bible just like his grandfather, Huey P. Hervey and would often go with him to his bible classes. He was baptized into the Lord’s church at the tender age of ten by Huey Hervey and faithfully attended Roswell Church of Christ and recently Greater Metropolitan Church of Christ. Like his grandfather, Christian wanted to teach the gospel, desiring to travel the world bringing others to Christ.
In addition to the bible, he also loved culinary cooking, the Russian language, playing the cello, flute, piano, Harp and spending time with his family. Christian volunteered at the Village Initiative, impacting lives with his volunteer work, his willingness to pray with others, to lend a helping hand, and to be of service wherever needed.
On October 9, 2023, God called Christian to his eternal home, delivering him from the injuries he sustained, and having done all he was meant to do in his short life. He ran his race and finished his course. Christian was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
His grandparents, Huey P. and Marilyn Marie Hervey, preceded him in death. He leaves to both mourn his passing and celebrate his life, his mother, Wanda Joy Hervey; sister, Daija Holleman; aunt, Marilyn Patrice Hervey; nephew, Legend “Bug” Hervey; grandmother, Linda Flatt; aunt, Delores Barber; father, Jonathan Lee Holleman and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
A memorial service for Christian will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Roswell Church of Christ, 2900 Roswell Ave., Kansas City, Kansas 66104.
