Brett was born on July 26th, 1975 to Larry & Sandy Ewing of Kansas City, KS.
Brett’s passion for speed and anything with an engine became apparent at a very young age. He loved Hot Rods, Funny Cars, Motorcycles, Top Fuel Dragsters, Boats and especially his 1971 Chevy, that he’d had since high school. Some of his other passions consisted of boating, car shows and most importantly spending time with friends and family. He was always down for watching the Chiefs and catching a KU game.
Brett never met a stranger, and was willing to help out anyone at any time. Brett recently celebrated his 19th anniversary as a Garage Mechanic with the Board of Public Utilities, a place where some of his greatest friendships were forged.
He had the most contagious laugh and the amazing ability to make everyone feel like family.
If you had to design the ideal Husband & Father, Brett would have been the mold. His love, dedication and overall admiration for his wife & children was electrifying.
Brett is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Theodore & Mary-Ann Denk.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Angela Ewing, daughter Paige Ewing and son Nathan Ewing. His parents Larry & Sandy Ewing, brother Eric Ewing (Melissa), sister Kelly (Pete Denney) and many adoring nieces and nephews.
