Todd Kiyoshi Inafuku, 71, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023 at Queen's Medical Center. In his final days, beloved family and friends were able to say their farewells, as they gathered at his bedside, indicative of the many lives he touched.
Todd was a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming Pharmacy School (Class of 1976). He had a profound impact on the Pharmacy profession and community in Hawaii. He served as the Hawaii Pharmaceutical Association President in 1983. In 1988, while a Pharmacist at Aiea Medical, he was awarded the prestigious Bowl of Hygeia in Washington D.C., recognizing his civic leadership to the community.
Forever an educator and mentor, he was an adjunct faculty member and preceptor for the University of the Pacific (Stockton, CA) School of Pharmacy, part of the esteemed University of Hawaii at Hilo Pharmacists Advisory Council, and guest lecturer at the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy.
In 1979, he married the love of his life, Nora. In 1980, daughter, Rae, was born. Todd enjoyed taking the family on travel adventures to National Parks, Disney World, Canada, etc. A self-proclaimed "foodie," Todd loved fine dining restaurants, unique culinary delights, and new ice cream parlors or gelaterias.
In 2013, Todd retired as Director of Government Affairs for CVS Caremark Longs Drugs. To honor his incredible legislative career, a flag was flown over the United States Capitol in his honor.
Post-retirement, he traveled extensively and became the “unofficial” Taiwan-Japan-Okinawa tour guide for his friends and family. He was a remarkable golfer known for his putting prowess, and skilled at mastering precision hobbies including his new found love of 3-cushion billiards.
When Todd gained his angel wings, he was reunited with his beloved wife, Nora, who preceded him in passing in 2015. He is survived by daughter, Rae Inafuku (Wiley Wise); sister, Val Nagaji and two brothers, Keith and Bruce; and one granddaughter, Bodhi Wise.
