A chapel service for Russell will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 1525 Waimano Home Rd, Pearl City, Hawaii 96782. A burial will occur Friday, June 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, 45-349 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744.

Russell J. Wong was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii on 3/19/64. He graduated from Leilehua High School in 1982. He retired from The DOD of Hawaii as An Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor and Operations Sergeant Major in HIARNG in 2022. He was a loving husband, father and brother. Known to everyone as “Wongie” he

carried the ALOHA Spirit in his heart. Always generous and willing to help anyone and made friends wherever he went.

A fan of UH Sports and Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed golf and picked it up again after retirement. He loved hanging out with friends on the wall every Wednesday and Friday with an ice cold beer in his hand. He also loved all his Shar-Pei Babies. Survived by his loving wife of 40 years Erlinda, daughter Maryssa, Sons Mason and Micah. Pawpappy to Kamu, Kalia, Blu and Kaia. Sisters, Wanda Villanueva, Lucille Manuel, and Doreen Acacio. Many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family.
