Tina will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Jack (Kathy) of Kamloops and Cornell (Heather) of Revelstoke; grandchildren Jared, Ashley (Marc), Dylan, Sam, Cassidy, Mitchell and great grandson, Henrik.
Tina was born in Brilliant, BC on May 30, 1931. Tina met her husband, Sam Legebokow, in Grand Forks, BC and was married on Feb. 18, 1950. In 1969 Tina and Sam relocated to North Vancouver, BC. Tina worked part-time as a seamstress for Woodward’s but was primarily a homemaker. In 1994 when Sam retired, mom and dad moved to Kamloops to be closer to their grandchildren. After Sam’s passing on Oct. 26, 1996 Tina continued to reside in Kamloops and met her second husband, William “Bud” Dey while attending a lawn bowling event. They were married on Sept. 20, 2003. William “Bud” Dey passed away on Dec. 24, 2011. With that, the family has warmly welcomed Ron (Nancy) Dey, Gordon Dey (deceased), Cal Dey and Kellie Speidel and their children to our family.
In later years, mom enjoyed sewing, golf, lawn bowling and was an avid gardener. Tina absolutely adored her grandchildren. Each grandchild was gifted with a homemade blanket when they were born. Tina will be best remembered for her generosity, compassion, consideration and love of animals.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Feb.3, 2024 at Schoening Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Rev. Kyle Norman will officiate the services.
A reception will be held at the funeral home following the celebration service.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
Special thanks to Dr. A. Wynne and staff at Kamloops Senior Village for their compassionate, diligence and impeccable services in caring and supporting Tina.
