January 6, 1989 – September 2, 2023
With heavy hearts we share the tragic news of Sean’s sudden death as a result of a car accident just north of Kamloops, B.C. Sean is mourned by Leanne Friar, his partner and the amazing mother of their two precious children, Isla and Wyatt, his parents Susan Charles and Drew Belshaw, and his brother Patrick. The extended Charles, Belshaw, and Friar families are deeply saddened by Sean’s passing.
Sean was a passionate, opinionated and adventurous individual, who was never afraid to try new things. The recent move from Ontario to Kamloops, with Leanne’s unwavering support, put Sean on a great path in life. He was a dedicated father to his two children, who will remember him for the warmth and love he imparted in their hearts, a valued colleague with a passionate commitment to his trade, and a man of the outdoors who found solace in his time immersed in nature.
Sean was equally at home on the waters of Georgian Bay, or in the hills and mountains of B.C., and was always accompanied by his four-legged companion, Kodi. The wildlife in his home territories can certainly breathe easier now that Sean has passed.
The family would like to acknowledge the support and compassion provided by friends, colleagues and his local community during this challenging time. On behalf of Sean, please celebrate each and every day.
A celebration of Sean’s life will take place in Toronto on Friday October 20, 2023 from 2:30 to 4:30pm at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mt. Pleasant Road, Toronto).
In memory of Sean donations may be made to Georgian Bay Land Trust (gblt.org).
