Maureen Gladys Vermette

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Maureen Vermette (nee McDonald), our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on February 25, 2021 at the age 57. Reunited in eternity with her husband, best friend and love of her life Adrian ‘Kookie’ Vermette.

Maureen was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was cherished by her two children Sarah Thomas (Scott) and Dustin Vermette. She especially loved and embraced her role of Grandma with her treasured grandchildren Harmony, Ryder, Hunter, Katie, Marie, Pearl and Annabelle. She was known to proudly boast about her family to everyone.

She will also be sorely missed by her beloved twin sister Melinda, siblings Kelly, Kim, Heather, Trish, Emmett and many extended family members and friends.

She was also predeceased by her parents, Keith and Christine McDonald, her mother and father in-law, Mervin and Pauline Vermette, in addition to her nephews Michael McDonald and Terry Lamb, her sister in-laws Wendy Warkentin and Catherine Springett and her grandparents.

She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh, making friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed baking delicious pastries and cakes, fishing and exploring new places.

Most of all she loved her family and instilled in them strong values that will serve them well. She will be dearly missed and carried as a handprint on our hearts.
