It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of the brightest light in our family’s life, Heather Marie Dandenault. Heather was born August 8th, 1975, in Calgary Alberta, to her loving parents Dennis & Debbie Dandenault. She always kept her Mom & Dad on their toes from the day she was born until she passed.
Heather’s proudest achievement was being a Mom to her two incredible sons Tristan and Jacob. She was so proud of both of her boys; Heather was always excited to share their most recent adventures and accomplishments. Heather’s love for her family was unmeasurable, always the first to RSVP to family functions and BBQs.
From a young age Heather had a knack for making friends and being the life of the party. Heather would be the one to take a new friend under her wing and make them feel protected. Heather cherished so many of her friendships throughout the years. She was always willing to offer her advice and a shoulder to lean on.
Always the first to take on a new adventure, Heather approached every opportunity with a confidence that most would envy. Her passion for cooking had taken her all over the map and always up for a new challenge even trying her fate at Master Chef. Heather was known to randomly drop off her amazing creations with family and friends… just because.
Heather reunited with her last true love Scott Leask a couple years ago. Although their time together was short, their lasting love is endless. Scott’s unwavering support for Heather and her family during this difficult time has been unconditional.
Heather is survived by her sons, Tristan Davis & Jacob Graf her spouse Scott Leask and her parents Dennis & Debbie Dandenault. Her favorite sister, Sara Wingerak…aka Dude / Sister Sara (Kent) and her very special nieces and nephew Rachel & Brooklyn Crawford, Shayla & Tyler Wingerak. Heather had many extraordinary friends she met throughout her journeys, far too many to mention but thank you for being a piece of her life.
Heather’s Celebration of life will be April 30th between 12 – 3 pm at West Highlands Community Centre -1185 Links Way, Kamloops BC
A special thank you to all the specialists at RIH, and the incredible nurses that went above and beyond.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kamloops Hospice Association.
“You can literally be here today and gone tomorrow. Be grateful, be humble, be kind, and be loving.”
