In the late 1960s, Agostino travelled to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he waited for his wife to be and her family members to arrive. They then all travelled together with via train to Kamloops, BC. On October 29th, 1960, they were married and settled in Kamloops, BC and had four lovely daughters.
Prior to living in Kamloops, Agostino worked for the CN Railroad and when his wife, Ida was expecting their first child, Maria, they had to go back to Kamloops where they began living and raising their growing family on Linden Avenue. Agostino was an avid gardener and always went all out with every garden he grew. He also had many fruit trees throughout his garden and yard.
He worked for the City of Kamloops for many years until his retirement. During his retirement, he loved to go to the Kamloops Farmer’s Market and sell all his fruits and vegetables and anybody else’s fruits and vegetables he could get his hands on. He also loved to go hunting and fishing. He would even ice fish.
Agostino lived his life to the fullest and even though he could no longer do the things he loved to do like go to the Kamloops Farmer’s Market, he never gave up and refused not to stop growing his vegetables and fruits from his garden, and sell them to the Kamloops community.
