After a long struggle with cancer Maureen A Davis, 63, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away at Jupiter Medical Center on February 13, 2019 at 11:30am. At the time of her passing Maureen was surrounding by loved ones, including her husband Alan (85), son Donald Marsh (35), and daughter Katherine Marsh (31). Maureen was born on September 22, 1955, she was born in the Bronx, New York to two loving parents Barry Gage (deceased) and Josephine Gage (Kiely) (deceased). Maureen was the oldest of five children; Eileen Szurnicki (Gage)-Jeff Szurnicki (husband), Kevin Gage, Maura Malone (Gage) and Brian Gage. Maureen deeply loved her siblings and quickly took on the role of Matriarch after their mother’s passing, maintaining close connections with all ends of the family. Maureen graduated from Holy Family High School (class of 1973) in Kings Park, New York. Maureen completed two years at New York Institute of Technology before she became a banker. Maureen was in executive management and was Vice President, in a time it was uncommon for a woman to be that high on the executive ladder. Maureen was intelligent, thorough and amazingly witty. Maureen married Richard Charles Marsh (deceased) on June 13, 1982 and had two children, Donald Marsh and Katherine Marsh. No woman alive loved her children as much as Maureen loved Don and Kate. She was their number one fan and wasn’t afraid to show it. Whether she was cheering Don on, on the football field or cheering Kate on at her college graduation, she was always the loudest person in the crowd. Maureen had 4 nieces and 2 nephews who she loved like her own children; Jeffrey Szurnicki, James Szurnicki, Brianna Lloyd, Marissa Lloyd, Johanna Malone, and Alexa Lloyd. Maureen is also followed by one great niece; Mila Szurnicki and one great nephew Izaac Szurnicki. Maureen married Alan G Davis on July 4, 2000 on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii with her children by her side. Alan and Maureen lived a happy life and traveled the world together. Maureen was such a tough lady, so tough, that very few people knew that she was sick, until the end of her journey. Weak was not an appropriate outward expression for Maureen and nor was she a weak woman. Maureen lived a very full life, filled with a lot of love and happiness. Special thanks to the staff at Jupiter Medical Center and all of Maureen’s wonderful doctors, as she could not have done it without you. Services will be held at Aycock Funeral Home located in Jupiter, Florida on Thursday February 21, 2019 at 12 noon. Maureen, we will always carry your memory in our hearts. . . .
AN IRISH BLESSING
May the road rise to meet
You, May the wind be
Always at your back.
May the sun shine warm
Upon your face, The
rains fall soft up on your
fields, And until we meet again,
May GOD hold you in the palm
Of HIS hand
Amen
