Mrs. Rusnak was born in Goodland, Indiana on December 5, 1942. She graduated from Goodland high school in 1960. Upon graduation she attended secretarial school in Ft. Wayne Indiana where she soon met her husband of 50 years, James Rusnak. In 1962 Mrs. Rusnak relocated to North Palm Beach where she resided and raised a family. Mrs. Rusnak served an active role at St. Clare school office for many years before transitioning into different roles in the business world. She was an active member at St. Clare Catholic Church in North Palm Beach until moving to Hobe Sound and joining St. Christopher's Catholic Church where she often attended mass daily. Mrs. Rusnak enjoyed many activities including bridge, golf, gardening, travel, decorating and shopping with family and friends. Above all she cherished her 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Laura Mahoney (Terry) of Marietta, Georgia. Sons; Michael Rusnak (Cathy) of Chevy Chase, Maryland and Gregory Rusnak (Dawn) of Wake Forest, North Carolina. Grandchildren; Christopher Mahoney (Erin) Marietta, Ga. Andrea Gamble (Patrick) Manhattan, NY; Tyler Mahoney (Shelby) Atlanta, Ga. Danielle Rusnak Youngsville, NC. Joseph Rusnak Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Michael Rusnak Jr. Chevy Chase, MD, Richard James (RJ) Rusnak Chevy Chase, MD. Lizzie Rusnak Chevy Chase, MD. Great-grandchildren Emma, Charley, Brooks, Beau, and Madison.
Mrs. Rusnak is predeceased by her husband James Rusnak, her parents Joseph and Esther Bower, brothers Joseph and Robert Bower and sisters Phylis Horn and Ruth Bower.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Friday January 19, 2024, at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and cremation center in Jupiter.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 20 at 11am at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Hobe Sound, Fl. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Christopher's Catholic Church or directly to St. Vincent de Paul in Hobe Sound.
