James was born on April 8th, 1957 to James and Sally Healey in Southington, CT. After graduating from Southington High School in 1975, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, traveling the world aboard the USS Raleigh. He went on to work in the power plant industry for the next 40 years, which took him from Connecticut, to California, Oregon, Hawaii, the Netherlands, and ultimately, Florida, where he was currently working towards retirement as the Maintenance Manager at Covanta Energy in West Palm Beach.
In 1975, James met his sweetheart, Yolanta (Golaszewski) Healey, and they wed in 1979, going on to have two beautiful children, Kimberly and James.
Spending time with his family, barbequing, fishing, and gardening were his passions. He was a hard-working family man who was greatly respected by his coworkers and family alike. He will be greatly missed by many.
James is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Yolanta, his daughter, Kim Healey and her companion Shaun Jacobs, his son Jim Healey and his companion Keri Seeley, and his two granddaughters, Kendall Jacobs and Taryn Healey, all of Jupiter; his sister, Laura Healey of Southington, CT; his sisters-in-law, Lynda Healey, Jean Cawkwell, and MaryAnn Knight and her husband Mark; his brother-in-law, Wesley Golaszewski and his wife Helen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends for calling hours on Saturday, June 12th, 2021 from 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. Inurnment with military honors will be held at a later date.
