I worked with Greg at KISawyer A F B being from Lima, Ohio also we were  petty good friends. I will miss Greg on FB to.  Susan I'm sorry for your loss. 


We met Greg when he showed up to apply for a position with our home oxygen company in 1982.  He quickly won us over with this wonderful sense of humor, compassion and pleasant demeanor.
 
Greg touched everyone’s heart he met in that position and quickly became the lynch pin that held our company together.  I was the founder of the company, true, but he was the heart of it.  We quickly became friends and over the years like brothers in many ways.  We shared many great family times filled with laughter which was always infectious when you are around Greg.  No matter how serious you were taking yourself he only had to look at you with that grin of his and you had to laugh or at least smile back.   

About ten years ago we worked together again on another startup in the medical supply field, Liberator, which became a national provider of urological supplies.  Greg contributed to our early and most difficult days immensely and later went on to build a successful business with his wonderful wife Susan.  Over the last 35 years or so we are proud to have had Greg as a close friend.   Along with us he will be surely missed but never forgotten by many.   Our sincere condolences to Sue and the rest of the Greg's family and friends. 

May God bless him and keep him and shine his light upon him forever.   
  


Bob and I attended church with Greg and family in the 80's and 90's. Greg was the sound guy and Bob a musician. Bob always hoped Greg would be at the sound helm. Bob always said Greg was the best at a great sound mix. He was also great at smoking the best chicken wings I ever had (I'm pretty sure he had some help from his amazing wife.)  Greg and Bob, now both graduated to heaven, are greatly missed here, but heaven has received the best sound guy and guitar player it could hope for. Forever in our hearts. 

I’ve known my brother-in-law Greg since I was 13.  I loved his sense of humor, a very dry wit indeed.  He could always make me laugh and in doing so, he would very shyly give you a little side-eye to check and see if you were laughing.

One of my favorite memories, as an early teen I got to take a short ride on the back of Greg’s chopper motorcycle.  That was one cool (dude) ride!

Greg had a very affectionate smile, beautifully replicated on the faces of his daughters Amy & Wendy.  He was always very perceptive and intuitive, which his daughters have inherited.  Very special and rare qualities. 

My sister Susan is now tending to the legacy she and Greg have built over the past 45 years.  One of great love and family first!  They have so beautifully shown us their generosity, un-bounding love for children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, maintaining life long friendships and walking a Christian centered life. 

God’s peace and comfort to the Beckman family.


I had the privilege to  ride motorcycles with Greg during his motorcycling years and enjoyed every moment on and off the motorcycles.  His humor and nature have left a life long impression on me and I am ever so grateful for the time I had with him and Susan.  God bless the entire Beckman family.

So very sorry for your loss.  I met Greg via work in 1986 at Foster Medical. I was new to the area and Greg invited me to his church. From their I was informally adopted into he & his family's lives. We had many things in common ie Church, fishing galore, eating together (we were pretty good at that followed by naps) concerts ect. Greg was as wholesome as it gets & will have an everlasting imprint on my life. My heart goes out to his wonderful family & pray for God's grace that they may find peace in a truly most difficult time!

I want to offer condolences to the family of my friend, mentor, USAF officer, ret, ALAIFOK member, and all around great guy, Greg Beckman. He taught me so much about life when I was at my craziest and I will miss him terribly. He passed on a couple nights ago and is no longer hurting. RIP old friend.

So sorry for your loss. Greg and I were firefighters at KI Sawyer afb. He was a great firefighter and he was the best at having a kind soul. I will miss you and see you again over the Rainbow old friend. Peace be with the family and God bless you all.

We were so sorry to hear of Greg's passing but know he is in a better place with no pain and suffering - yet it is so hard on those still here on earth.  We fondly remember many fun times when we lived in Toledo - one memory in particular is when Greg and Randy made a cardboard airplane for Amy and Jason to "fly" in.  God bless you all in your sorrow.

So sorry to hear about Greg. Our prayers to his family and friends. I fondly recall the many times we flew rc planes with the Black Sheep flying club.  We always shared many laughs and he was loved by his many friends. Fly high my friend, I will always remember you.
