He graduated from North Plainfield High School and began his college career at National Agricultural College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He finished at Syracuse University with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Bob worked as a landscape architect for the U.S. Government and spent his retirement years boating, fishing, gardening, and singing in the church choir.
He is survived by his son, Robert ‘Bob’ Emery, his daughter, Deborah Gavin (Frank); a daughter-in-law, Jean Emery; his brother, Richard ‘Dick’ Emery (Jaci); his grandchildren, Olivia, Danny (Anna), Kelly (Chris), Shannon (Luke) and Rachel; his great grandchildren, River, Ridge, Kensie, Colton, Carter and Callan.
Bob is predeceased by his wife, Ellen Emery and his son, Kenneth Emery.
A graveside service for Ellis was held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, FL.
