Alma Regina Maglio was born November 8, 1922 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Her family moved to New York some years later where she continued her education including college with a major in chemistry. She met Martin Maglio at work, and they married on April 7, 1945. A few years later, they moved to St. Louis, Missouri but when opportunity presented itself in Florida in 1953, the family moved to Palm Beach County.
Alma worked side-by-side with her husband, Marty Maglio, in various flooring, chemical and paint businesses they owned locally. She worked with her daughter for a national nonprofit organization for over 17 years.
Alma was not only active in business but in many volunteer activities. She and her friend had a Girl Scout Troop for over 10 years. With her husband, she did volunteer work for the Power Squadron and other organizations. They were always there to provide help to family and extended family whenever needed.
Alma leaves her son, Martin Brian Maglio and his wife Rebecca; daughter, Janet Harris-Lange; grandchildren, Drew Maglio (Avery), Kelsey Maglio, and Joshua Lange (Betty); and great grandchildren, Brendon and Mia. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, sister, Dorothy and brother, Alfred, and sons-in-law, John Harris and Donald Lange.
