William was born on August 13, 1974 - parents Iva Nell Parker & William Henry Briley, Ill. William is the youngest of their three children. He began his education in the Clayton County School system. His love for sports included football, baseball playing with the County Parks & Recreation. His passion was wanting to be a professional skateboarder and wanting to fly aircrafts.
At the young age of 10 years, William attended Mount Zion Baptist Church, under the pastoral guidance of Reverend Malone Cochran. It was where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Williams childhood years were always adventurous in nature. In general he was like most boys his age. His first movie was "Star Wars". He also was a big Elvis fan. His favorite song being "Burning Love". William actually thought he could dance just like Elvis. He was anxious and proud of going into the military, with the encouragement of his dad, whom was always supportive of his endeavors. Williams’ proudest moment was when he earned his wings at JUMP school.
Once William completed his years of high school , he enlisted in the United States Army, where he completed Officer Training Program, as well as receiving his Bachelors’ Degree from Campbell University in North Carolina.
William’s other accomplishments include:

After many years of dedicated service for his country William served many tours in Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. William was Honorably Discharged at the rank of Captain
William is preceded in death by his grandparents, Flora Thurmond, William Henry Briley, ll, and Jimmy Minck.

Briley, III and Yeatta (Waters) Briley and Iva Nelle Parker; sisters, Norma Jean (Briley) Ward, Connie Jeanine Briley, and Shannon Denise Briley (Barbara Briley, mother); grandmother, Maggie Beal; and a host of other relatives, military family and friends.
Memorial Services honoring William’s life will be held Friday, September 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel – 681 North Avenue – Jonesboro, GA 30236. (770) 471-7171.
