Gladys Elizabeth Moore

Gladys attended Washington High School. She was employed at Dobbs Houses, Chevron & Ingles. She loved the Lord. She met no strangers & loved everyone no matter who it was, always keeping a smile on her face & laughter in her heart & in her room. She was a very kind person who would speak her peace without biting her tongue. Always saying "just throw it over your shoulders". She was affectionately known as "Big Ma".

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother; David Smith, her sister; Jacqueline (Jackie) Tucker, her brothers; Bobby and Howard Smith, her sister; Gloria Smith and her son; Marvin D. Childs.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; John K. Moore, one daughter; Sandra (James) Johnson; one grandson; James (Jay) Johnson; one granddaughter; Jamesia (Mesa) Johnson; one great granddaughter; Ayanna Johnson, two brothers; Larry Smith & Stevie Darnell Smith of Austin, TX; three sisters; Pastor Tina Smith, Louise Smith & Ola Mae Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Gladys will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Greater Love Fellowship Church, 2378 Dogwood Drive SE, Conyers, GA 30013.
