Billy Dorsey

Billy Dorsey was born on March 30,1943 to the late William Otis Dorsey and Elnora Turnipseed in Griffin, Georgia. He was blessed with a long fulfilling life up until 80 years old. On February 2nd, 2024, Billy was called home.

Mr. Dorsey worked at PPG and could mix paint by memory like no other. His hobbies were fishing , gardening, and drinking coffee!

Billy was preceded in death by: his wife, Carmelita Dorsey; and brothers, Otis Dorsey & Ricky Turnipseed; and sisters, Louise Odom and Jeanette White

Billy leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Billy (Mia) Dorsey, Christal (Ricky) Dorsey and Cekeisha (Terrell) Mathis; three grandchildren, Chandler Dorsey, Khyla Kizzie and Christopher Belt; Siblings, Larry(Deborah) Dorsey, Margie (Ira) Whitaker, Annette Dorsey and Linda McWell; a host of loving extended family and friends.

A visitation for Billy will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 4PM to 8PM at Tara Garden Chapel located at 681 North Avenue in Jonesboro GA. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11am at College Park Cemetery located at 3600 N. Adams in College Park GA.
