Michael “Mike” Dee Robison of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away on May 14th, 2024 at the age of 65. He was born on September 23rd, 1958 in Leechburg, Pennsylvania to Harold Robison and Janet (Robison) Ashbaugh.
Mike graduated from Leechburg High School in 1976, and went on to receive his Bachelor of Environmental Engineering Degree in 1980 from Penn State University. He began his work as an environmental engineer at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Edgewood, Maryland, in the Water Quality Engineering Division at the U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency as a master consultant. He later went on to receive his Professional Engineering License and in 1990 he received a Master’s Degree from the Florida Institute of Technology. Mike had the opportunity to perform work at various Army facilities throughout the world, including Germany and the Marshall Islands. In 1995, Mike joined Bennett and Williams Environmental Consultants, became president in 2010, and served in that role until the present. He loved all aspects of the job, but enjoyed field work the most. Even on bad weather days, he was in his element.
Mike married his loving wife, Tanya, on October 9th, 1982, and recently celebrated 41 years of marriage. Mike dedicated his life to raising their three children: Justin, Natalie, and Lindsey. Whether it was coaching and cheering on his children at their sports and activities, Mike surrounded them with love and often reminded them how proud he was of them.
Mike enjoyed taking his family on summer vacations to the beach or Cedar Point. He was very active and loved spending time outdoors running, golfing, and playing in the church softball league.
In 2012, Mike suffered a spinal cord injury leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. His trust in Christ, his Faith Fellowship family, and several helping hands got him through the tough times and helped him return to his house where he was able to live more comfortably in the home that he loved.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Harold Robison; grandparents, William Robison and Mary Robison (Stark); grandparents, Wilson and Vera Riggle; as well as many aunts and uncles.
Mike is survived by his wife, Tanya and their three children: Justin (Brittany) Robison and grandsons Hart and Henry, Natalie (Zachary) Vaughn and granddaughter Vera, Lindsey (Brandon) Forrest and granddaughter Leona; mother, Janet (Dawn) Ashbaugh; brother, Daniel (Robin) Robison, and many loving relatives.
