Bob was my judge advocate at American Legion post 318. Was instrumental in helping us get the new post build.I miss you my friend

Sally,   you and Bob were one of the first people I met when I joined Post 318. We were on the Auxiliary Board together and I always thought highly of both of you.  You were both so devoted to each other and that was one thing I most respected you for.

I don't have the words to express my sincere sympathy for your loss. I can only say that one day you will be together again just as you were. One brief moment and all will be as it was before - only better.  Hold onto that and life will be a little more bearable.

I will be away when you have the Celebration of Life, please forgive me. Thoughts and hugs to you and your family.

Dear Bob, I will always remember our 7 years of breakfast discussions in downtown Jensen.  Like true friends we did not always agree but we always respected each other.  Real estate, local and federal government politics, family and younger man experiences.   I will always have some great stories to remember.  Every once in a while I will conjure up one of them and sit quietly by myself and smile.  Miss you my old friend….

You will be missed my friend.  I’m so glad we were able to get on the boat one last time with you I know it was one of your favorite places to be 

Today i was forwarded Bob's obituary and I am sitting here stunned.  I met Bob in 1996 at the Stuart County Courthouse; we became business friends.  There is, nor will there ever be, anyone more knowledgeable in matters of title insurance than Bob.  He was just one of the good guys in title with integrity.

I’m sharing a picture of our good friends, Bob & Sally.  We’ve shared a lot of fun times together.  A lot of laughs.  Special times.  Less than 7 months ago, we celebrated Thanksgiving together and gave thanks for our friends and family and chosen family and all those we love.  Little did we know just 2 short months later our dear friend, Bob Booth would be diagnosed with terminal cancer.  He and his fiercely devoted, loving bride Sally Booth, were in the fight of their lives.  And fight, they did!!!!!  The true fight!!!  Tonight the fight, the battle….THE WAR was lost.  All too often this is the outcome.  But Bob fought!!!  He’s a veteran.  A Patriot.  A devoted husband.  He served his community, was a great drinking buddy, great story teller and was a respected, dedicated businessman who shared his wisdom and took pride in his family’s legacy in the title insurance business.  I worked for Bob & Sally.  At the recommendation of my partner in this crazy, challenging life, Dan Sternberg, they took me on and taught me about their profession. They taught me many skills that I still carry with me today in the career that I’ve carved out for myself down here.  I was basically a stranger, but t I was lucky to have Bob give me insight into his craft.  You fought the good fight, Bob!  You are loved, you are respected.  You’re at peace now.  Sally, you’re a warrior!  No other word to describe you.  The heartaches you’ve suffered in this life are the makings of a saint!  God bless you both.  Dan and I are so terribly sorry for this unimaginable loss and we are here for you in any way you may need.  We will miss Bob.  We will remember you always. 

Bob was a wonderful friend, even tho we didn’t see much of each other lately.  This world lost a true treasure.  He was ever so generous in all aspects of his life.  So glad he and Sally were in my life.
