Joan Smith, 75 passed away at her home in Jensen Beach, Fl on December 6, 2018. Born on August 23, 1943, in Marlborough, Massachusetts. At the age of 7 she and her family moved to Key Biscayne, Fl. She then moved to Stuart in 1978. She was employed for many years as the Vice President of Jack Russell Company, Inc. After she left her position she accepted a job at Island Dunes Country Club working in the golf shop. She was a very dedicated member of the community and volunteered for many organizations and charities. Joan loved meeting and talking to people and they loved her. She had so many friends. She was very active in bowling, golfing and let’s not forget watching the Hurricanes and Dolphin games. She most of all, loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Robert Smith, Sr., a daughter Terri Smith-Pacifici, RN and a sister Gail Williams. Grandchildren Dennis Pacifici, Jr., Brittany Johnson, Shelby Smith, Samantha Smith-Atkinson and Tabitha Smith and several great grandchildren. As well as nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Florence Gaboury, two sisters Susan Gaboury, Jill Bunce, her brother Lawrence Gaboury, Jr. and her son Robert Smith, Jr. and her grandson Chase Smith. A gathering will be held 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach, FL, where memorial services will be held at 11 a.m.
