He was born in Mather, PA on March 19, 1947 to Patrick Murphy Sr. and Agnes Connor Murphy. He graduated from Jefferson-Morgan High School in 1965. On February 8, 1969, he married the love of his life, Nancy Efaw. Murph was very hard-working all of his life; he was a machinist by trade - working 40 years in the industry - and retired from Ross Mould in 2009. He enjoyed his family, hunting, golf, and shooting pool. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather and a good friend to many.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy J. Murphy; 3 children, Jess A. Murphy (Stephenie), Jill D. Bysick (Scott), and Clay A. Murphy (Julie); and 5 grandchildren, Harley and Hyde Murphy, Riley and Xander Bysick, and Samantha Murphy.
He was the last of his family and was preceded in death by his parents, and 9 siblings, Patrick Jr., James, John, Charles, William, Richard, Kathryn, Gwen, and Judy.
Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Friday, November 29 from 3 PM until 7 PM and the funeral service on Saturday, November 30 at 11 AM at Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344; entombment to follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
