Betty C. Yorko

She was born May 31, 1933 in Crucible, a daughter of the late Charles and Julia Varesko Coles.

Mrs. Yorko was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Mather Christian Church. She was also a member and Secretary-Treasurer of the American Legion Post 954 Auxiliary of Jefferson.

On July 10, 1954 she married Glenn W. Yorko, who survives.

Also surviving are four children, Glenn S. Yorko and his wife Patty of Dry Tavern, Denise Hutchinson and her husband Bruce of Mather, Greg Yorko and his wife Heather of Jefferson and Darlene Wise of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Brian Yorko, G.R. Yorko and his wife Jen, Charlie Yorko, Chad Hutchinson and his wife Gina, Gregory Yorko and Kayla Yorko; three great grandchildren, Madison Hutchinson, Hannah Hutchinson and Landon Hutchinson.

Deceased is a brother Charles “Chuck” Coles.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
